Methodology

Drug interaction claims

Each interaction pair is sourced from a curated database of 40,000+ verified pairs. Every listing carries a severity tag (dangerous, moderate, mild) derived from mechanism data — not from language-model generation.

Pregnancy safety

Pregnancy guidance uses FDA pregnancy categories (where assigned) cross-referenced with WHO Essential Medicines List and Indian obstetric-society guidelines. Any medicine we do not have structured data for is marked "insufficient data" rather than guessed.

Desi Ilaaj verification

Traditional remedies are evaluated for (a) ingredient safety at usual doses, (b) documented benefit in peer-reviewed literature where available, and (c) known interactions with common Indian prescription medicines. Remedies that fail (c) are flagged with a conflict warning.

Lab interpretation

Reference ranges follow Indian laboratory standards where published; global ranges (Tietz, Harrison's) are used as fallback. We explicitly show the range used and caveat that individual labs may differ.
